Kindred Teachers & Organizations

While making this film, we deeply experienced the power of being inspired and supported by kindred spirits, teachers and organizations. We thought we would share such inspiring organizations and teachers with our audience. We are dividing this list into two sections — those that we know well and those that have come to our attention and  caught our eye.

KINDRED TEACHERS & ORGANIZATIONS

Personal Transformation

  1. SERVICE SPACE.   Fully volunteer run organization that incubates and drives generosity based labor-of-love projects.  The filmmakers were introduced to the film subject through ServiceSpace and are deeply grateful for their inspiration and support.
  2. YOGA WELL INSTITUTE.  Chase Bossart studied for 20 years under Sri Desikachar (son of Sri Krishnamacharya, the father of modern Yoga) and teaches Yoga in its authentic form and purpose — for personal transformation and spiritual growth.

Education & Children

  1. CHILDREN IN NATURE COLLABORATIVE.  Co-founded by Mary Roscoe, Co-founder of the Waldorf School in the Peninsula (SF Bay Area), The Children in Nature Collaborative in the San Francisco Bay Area is part of a growing worldwide movement to reconnect children with nature, inspired by Richard Louv’s book, Last Child in the Woods.
  2. KINDERGARTEN FORUM.  Ana Rainville continues her mother Betty Peck's ground breaking ideas of educating kindergarten children.
  3. IDA OBERMAN's SCHOOL.
  4.
